BIO
Darren Lee (dee) Miller is an artist, curator, and academic leader whose work explores how art can connect people more deeply to place and to one another. With more than two decades of experience in higher education and curatorial practice, Miller has advanced interdisciplinary programs that merge teaching, research, and community engagement.
Miller’s exhibitions and administrative leadership emphasize collaboration, equity, and experiential learning, turning galleries into spaces of dialogue, reflection, and shared authorship. Curatorial projects address pressing issues in contemporary practice, including structural inequities, decolonization, ethical stewardship, and digitization.
Miller’s teaching, writing, curatorial work, and artwork have been recognized through numerous residencies, exhibitions, acquisitions, and a 2019-20 Fulbright Research Fellowship to Brazil. They live and work in the US midwest and Puerto Rico.
